Owen began his volleyball journey during his sophomore year in high school where he played 1 year of JV and 2 years of varsity volleyball. Owen had early success in his volleyball career having played for a top 50 nationally ranked team his senior year. Owen was recruited and played 2 years at Arcadia University as a libero. While Owen was attending Arcadia, he majored in business management.
Owen started his coaching career early, coaching various summer camps for Xceleration Volleyball Club and Core Volleyball Club. Owen coached both boys and girls from ages 12-15 from beginners to intermediate/advanced skills. Owen recently came off a great season helping coach at Berean Christian High School in Walnut Creek winning the NCS Division 4 Championship and runner ups for the CIF Division 3 Championships. This is Owen's second season with Red Rock. Last season, Owen head coached the 12-2 and 15-2 teams. Owen's 15s team finished 2nd at Far Westerns and finished 17th at Regional Championships in the NCVA Power League.
When he is not in the gym coaching Owen Enjoys spending time with his family. Some of his hobbies include playing pickle ball, fishing, grass volleyball, watching professional volleyball, bowling, and finding super cool viewpoints. Owen looks forward to growing and continuing his love for the game and is super excited to meet rad people.
