Cherisse Dimalanta
Cherisse is entering her 5th year as a coach at Red Rock. She has coached the 13-1, 14-1, 14-2, and 16-1 teams in the Danville/Walnut Creek area. In addition to Red Rock, Cherisse coaches at Kai Beach Volleyball and at American Canyon High School where the team won its first-ever League Championship in 2022, then finished second in League and were the VVAL Tournament Champions in 2023.
Cherisse has played volleyball since the age of 10. During her high school volleyball career at American Canyon High School, she played as the starting setter on Varsity for 3 years and served as a co-captain for two years. She held school records for career aces and assists, was awarded All-League, a Player of the Year Finalist, and was voted Most Valuable Setter of the Year in SCAC. In 2017, Cherisse attended USAV’s High Performance A3 camp as a setter in Las Vegas. She was American Canyon High School’s first volleyball college recruit to a four-year university where she played Division II at Hawaii Pacific University as a DS/Libero and graduated with her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and minor in Psychology.
Cherisse recently finished up her Master's of Business Administration degree. She is also the Assistant Director of Operations and the Recruiting Coordinator.
