Mike will be starting his third year coaching at Red Rock. Last year, in his second season with Red Rock, Mike was an assistant coach with the 14-2 team under Jenn Plumley. The prior year, Mike was an assistant coach for the 13-1 team that competed at Junior Nationals. This upcoming season will be the second as the head VB coach for Orinda Intermediate School. Last year, the team won league and finished with an overall 14-2 record.

Mike was born and raised in Hawaii and began playing volleyball in the 5th grade. He continued to play through HS and started for two state placing teams in his junior and senior year playing libero. In college, Mike wrestled D1 for Lehigh University.

Mike is married with three children and lives in Orinda. He enjoys coaching volleyball and wrestling (at Lamorinda Wrestling, OIS, and Miramonte HS) and is an avid golfer and ceramist.
